Firestarters Youth Mission Trip - June 8-14, 2019

The Senior High YF went to Milwaukee for our mission trip from June 8-14.  We took 25 students and several adults.   We spent the week there serving the community in a variety of ways. We joined with 2 other churches and split into six different crews that all had different work projects for the week. We served by helping weed community gardens; spending time with the elderly, people with disabilities, and children; helping serve at soup kitchens; cleaning up a park; helping at a homeless shelter; and several other projects. We also enjoyed our free time as we went to a Brewers game, played 9 square in the air on the beach, had a community cookout, and heard testimonies from ex-gang members.
