Welcome Back Activities 08-26-2015
We decided to start the new school year in style this year! On August 26th, we threw a huge back to school party with the other churches in the area. We had over 50 students from the community, Liberty Chapel, Shiloh, Victory Chapel, and Liberty Center/Colton UMC at our event where we had a band, an obstacle course, giant volleyball, silly string capture the flag, and much more! We had an awesome time and were able to invite a bunch of new students to get involved in our ministries.
The Rock threw a back to school bash with snow cones and pizza! We invited any students to come and join us after their first day of school. We ended up with a full house! Thankfully it didn't rain for long because we might not have had enough space for all 30 kids who came. We were able to put smiles on faces as we met and hung out with a lot of kids who hadn't been to The Rock before and were also able to reconnect with kids we haven't seen all summer.
