Henderson Mission Trip               October 2018

Carla Gillen joined a West Ohio Conference Henderson Settlement Work Team for a mission trip to Henderson settlement in Frakes, Kentucky. The trip was October 21-27, 2018 and included 15 participants from 6 churches.  We stayed in the dormitory at the Henderson Settlement. We worked on several projects to help needy families in the area.  One project was to replace mobile home skirting that was damaged so that the plumbing, electrical, and underside was protected.  At another home we worked on sanding, painting and installing floor tiles. We also framed and installed a door and framed windows.  At the third home we repaired windows, repaired and installed electric wiring, and did drywall work. Another tip is planned for next October.
